Lucaffe: the culture of Made-in –Italy quality
  Expertise, innovation and above all, a love for the culture of Made-in-Italy quality. These are the distinctive features that made Lucaffe an island apart on the Italian coffee scene. Established in the mid-90s at Padenghe sul Garda, the firm of Luca Venturelli, a young Brescia businessman driven by a real sixth-sense for coffee, has grown so fast that it has become one of northern Italy’s most competitive and well-known coffee roasting companies. Venturelli launched his challenge to the conventional coffee world by specializing in an up-and-coming market-that of “pods”, a real mild revolution in the way of preparing coffee. Basically pods are single-doses of ground roasted coffee enclosed in a very thin sheet of food-safe paper, ideal for preparing a perfect espresso. Product freshness is ensured by nitrogen storage and the packing in single aluminium bags prevents the product from losing its original fragrance. An ideal product for coffee and restaurants, always seeking constant quality, something hard to achieve in a delicate industry affected by a thousand different and unpredictable variables like that of coffee. For them, Venturelli has designed the “Pleasure Menu”, a real “coffee menu” listing the varieties of coffee in pods presented in the Lucaffe line.
  This stretches from the legendary Jamaica Blue Mountain, one of the worlds rarest and most sought-after coffees, to a selection of Mexican and Colombian varieties, from decaffeinated coffee to biological barley.
  It also comprises four types of tea (prepared using the same method, with a guarantee of absolute quality) and a special berry tea.
  But pods are also becoming popular in the home thanks to the special machines that Lucaffe also presents in its own exclusive and extremely elegant line. A passion for quality represents the guideline for all the product lines designed by Venturelli. Whether pods, ground coffee or whole beans, the process always begins with the purchase (by Luca Venturelli personally) of the very best quality coffees, followed by low-temperature traditional roasting, grinding without heating, careful blending and packaging only when the product has achieved the right degree of maturity. This is how pod specialties see the light, but also the Mamma Lucia blend for families and Vending, the Espresso Bar and Mister Exclusive 100% Arabic by Lucaffe and the Coffee dell’Ospite and Piccolo & Dolce lines. All products receive careful attention in terms of packaging and image, in a line that adapts to a whole range of different needs. And the Venturelli product line is not restricted to coffee. Keeping alive a family tradition that has been going strong for decades, the company also presents a biological extra-virgin olive oil produced in the Benaco hills. In this case as well, the firm’s commitment to goodness and quality is as strong as ever.
Lucaffe, the right balance between aroma and taste
  Lucaffe blends are obtained by using different batches of coffee, each characterized by its own unique and unrepeatable “organoleptic code”.
  To obtain the best results, the most valuable batches of Arabic coffee are selected by tasting samples. The blend is put together with great passion, and by balancing the flavour and aroma of each coffee varying the composition as each new batch arrives.

  Roasting is over a very low flame to prevent jumps in temperature and to permit each bean to develop the best substances.
